Privacy notice

What we store
- Account data: your name, email address, a salted hash of your password, the institution domain derived from your email, optional affiliation and ORCID iD, and timestamps of registration and last login.
- Content you create: papers (PDF, optional source, metadata) and comments.
- Security records: short-lived counters keyed by IP address and account, used to limit abusive logins, registrations and comments; and an audit log of moderator actions.
What is public
- Your name and the institution domain of your verified email (e.g.
stanford.edu) appear on your comments, on your public profile, and, for a paper you submitted, as the submitter. - Author names and affiliations on papers are whatever you enter in the submission form.
- Your email address is never shown publicly. Your affiliation and ORCID iD are shown on your profile only if you add them.
Cookies

We send only transactional messages: account confirmation, password reset and security notices.
